The Denton County Bar Association needed a new website. One that served their members by making information easy to find and by generating leads for members through an attorney search tool. The website also needed to make processing payments and event registration easier on the association staff.
Through the process of rebuilding the website we made it user friendly, easy to use on mobile devices and gave them a design that represented their professional association.

THE PROBLEM
To put it simply, this was a complete website overhaul.
The Denton County Bar Association had an aging website on an old content management system — it had worked wonderfully at the time it was originally commissioned, but its time had come and gone, and the DCBA was ready to upgrade their website to the modern era.
The new website needed to stay true to a long-running, historic brand in Denton County, one steeped in the history of the area, but the colors and fonts needed to be tweaked to fit the modern era.
They wanted something clean, fresh, and modern while still professional and stately, and they needed a style guide to go along with their website, something to help guide their branding and design decisions through the future.
They looked for a local marketing firm who specialized in custom law firm website design (which we just so happen to do), and they found us — we knew from the beginning that this would be a perfect fit.
THE BEFORE AND AFTERS
THE BLUE STEELE SOLUTION — A CUSTOM ASSOCIATION WEBSITE DESIGN
Though the content mostly stayed the same, this project was a complete overhaul from the ground up. We transferred the website from their old CMS to WordPress and built an entirely new infrastructure.
The infrastructure included an entirely integrated payment center (their previous payment center sent users off-site), a dynamic calendar, an easy-to-update blog, an attorney badge processing page, and a complex attorney listing and search function.
Additionally, we set up the website to do what WordPress does best — create and display ongoing content. In addition to the blog, we created a customized photo gallery, an easily edited listing of required forms, and an archive of old newsletters.
We also created a custom branding board, giving the Denton County Bar Association complete access to the colors, fonts, icons, and images that they'd need for any marketing or branding efforts in the future.
Add to that a simple contact page and membership form, and the Denton County Bar Association was able to walk away with a website that worked for them (instead of giving them a headache).
