THE PROBLEM
When English Heritage Homes of Texas contacted us, they had an old HTML website that was sluggish and time consuming to edit. Though this had served them well for a long time, it was time to make a change.
Their old website wasn't mobile responsive, nor was it designed for their main purpose — displaying the amazing homes that they build in the Dallas area.
They needed something that could be updated regularly, that would look awesome on mobile, that would make social sharing simple, and that would display their work in a simple, pleasant way.
And they needed someone to manage the whole thing. That's where we came in.
THE BLUE STEELE SOLUTION
We completely redesigned the website and created a new one similar to the existing site.
We also made some design changes using WordPress.
To make the site faster, we optimized the site’s files, which made the whole thing quicker to navigate.
We then built out the portfolio pages with simple gallery options.
The company’s portfolio pages feature photos from past projects and enlarge when clicked.
Visitors can share portfolio pages and images to Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest using the social media share buttons.
ONGOING CONTENT WRITING, SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT, AND WEBSITE MANAGEMENT
We wrote all the initial content for this website, and we continue to write new portfolio pages as new projects are finished. We also maintain English Heritage's website for them, regularly updating the website and fixing and issues as they arise.
Finally, we took over management of their social media, writing and creating dozens of Facebook posts each month.
The website is now a simple tool for their sales team, something they can easily point their potential customers to, giving them a clear picture of the kind of work they can expect from English Heritage Homes of Texas.
